Gnomophobia

First Year Final Project

Role: Lead Game Designer

Gnomophobia is the fear of garden gnomes. However, Gnomophobia the game is a top down dungeon crawler. There are three levels for the player to experience. As the story progresses, it becomes darker and darker. The game has combat, puzzles, and storytelling.

My Role:

  • Designed the systems and mechanics for my teams level.

  • Collaborated with other teams on what mechanics and systems would be universal.

  • Provided leadership for all of the designers in the class so that all of the levels would make sense from a story, mechanic/systems, and level viewpoint.

  • Communicated with the artists, programmers, and producer on what the designers had come up with for the game.
